Patient Access Value Creation Workshop · The day before AAO
A half-day working session for eyecare CxOs and PE operating partners. Voice AI is recovering missed referrals, filling perishable slots, and activating dormant recall at practices like yours. This morning is about quantifying what that recovery is worth on your P&L and building the case your board will fund. Followed that evening by a private dinner in the Quarter. An exclusive experience limited to 20 operating executives.

Every eyecare practice is leaking revenue at the front door: referrals that never convert, appointment slots that expire unfilled, recall patients who never come back. Voice AI addresses all three at once, and the result is Lift: verified revenue above a jointly agreed baseline, auditable from your own EHR. This session is about the money. You'll benchmark your practice against eyecare peers of comparable size, then leave with four things: the business case your board will actually fund, in three lines. A value model and workbook that puts a hard number on Lift from voice AI and what it means for your EBITDA, built at your seat with an analyst working the math beside you. The five questions that expose any voice AI vendor, including us. And a change management plan sequenced for your operation. Nobody pitches. No one sees your data. Everything you build is yours to keep, whatever you decide.
October 8
Coffee and breakfast at The Higgins Hotel & Conference Center. One seat per practice, and no vendor staff at the table beyond the facilitator and one analyst. At your seat: the eyecare benchmark summary from your pre-reading and a blank business-case worksheet. Luggage storage is available if you're arriving that morning.
A deep walk through the Patient Access Index for eyecare: what voice AI deployments at practices of comparable size are recovering across referral conversion, slot-fill yield, and no-show recovery, including the full range, not just the average. You'll privately mark where you believe your practice sits against each benchmark. Nothing is shared aloud, and nothing you brought leaves your worksheet.
The core of the morning: translating what voice AI recovers into EBITDA a PE board will recognize. You'll build your own value model in the workbook, applying transparent recovery rates to your referral, slot, and recall gaps and converting to EBITDA using your practice's own margin profile. An analyst circulates to work the arithmetic with you one-on-one at your seat. If you didn't bring your rates, conservative estimation defaults by practice size keep you in the build. You leave this block with the number that goes to the board: EBITDA above baseline, per location and practice-wide.
Fifteen minutes. The analyst stays available for one-on-one questions about model assumptions and where to pull your real rates from your EHR.
Turning your EBITDA number into a decision. The board-ready frame is three lines, not a deck: current EBITDA baseline, recoverable gap, net cost of recovery. With performance-fee structures, the investment is zero until Lift is proven, which changes the approval math. You'll map your own approval pathway, spending threshold, and signature chain, then name the one objection most likely to slow approval and work the answer live. The timing argument closes it: what a 12-month delay costs in EBITDA and exit-value terms.
The five questions that expose any voice AI patient access vendor: verified Lift vs. claimed revenue, jointly agreed baselines, end-to-end referral intake, fee structures and what triggers payment, and references at PE-backed practices of comparable size. For each question, the answer that should satisfy you and the answer that should prompt concern. It applies to every vendor in the category, including Parakeet. You keep the evaluation one-pager, usable in any RFP.
What voice AI deployment actually looks like at a 100+ location practice, and why deals fail post-signature when operational complexity was underestimated at sale. The phased model: prove it at five locations on one workflow, verify the Lift with an auditable delta from your EHR, then roll out practice-wide with fees beginning only on verified Lift. You'll draft your own phase one: which workflow, which five locations, and what proof threshold must be met before expansion is authorized.
You arrive knowing voice AI is a category; you leave knowing what it's worth to your practice. In your folder: your value model and workbook, the board-ready business case frame, the five-question vendor evaluation framework, and your change management plan. All four are yours to keep, whatever you decide. Out by noon, on time.
The room the tourists never see. A legendary New Orleans dining room, closed to the public, open to twenty. The conversation picks up where the morning left off, but looser: no worksheets, no slides, just the operators who spent the morning putting a number on voice AI, now around one table. The menu is the city's finest doing what it does best. The address arrives with your confirmation.
Where
1000 Magazine Street. The official hotel of The National WWII Museum and a short walk from the convention center, with private conference space, natural light, and very good coffee.
A private room inside one of New Orleans' most storied dining institutions, the kind of table that takes months to secure and a century to earn its reputation. Twenty seats, one long conversation, no agenda. We won't say where until you're confirmed. That's part of it.
Registration
Attendance is by invitation and referral, and seating finalizes Friday, October 2. Confirmed participants receive the pre-reading packet two weeks before the session: the value model and workbook, so you come prepared. The dinner address arrives with your confirmation. Not before. That's part of it. Request your seat below, or write Rick Scorzetti, Chief Commercial Officer, at rscorzetti@parakeethealth.com. If the workshop is full, we may still be able to welcome you at dinner.
